01

From plans to framing

Start with the framing plans, structural details, and project location. We’ll review the requested walls, floors, roof structure, and custom details with you to define a clear scope.

02

Details that deserve experienced hands

Arched openings, custom entries, and unusual shapes require thought before the first cut. Our project gallery shows the kind of detailed framing we take pride in.

03

A useful start for builders

Send your current plan set, expected start window, and site-access information. Identify who supplies materials, equipment, and any work outside the framing scope so your proposal reflects the actual project.

BEFORE THE FIRST CUT

Clear plans.
Clear responsibilities.

For builders and homeowners, a useful framing proposal starts with the same understanding of the work.

Which drawings should I send for a framing inquiry?

Send the current architectural plans and available structural details, along with any revised sheets. If truss drawings or specialty-system details are still pending, say so and identify what is expected to change. Include your Southern Utah project location and target start window. A proposal based on an earlier plan set may need review when the design changes.

What should the framing scope spell out?

Identify the walls, floors, roof framing, and sheathing requested, then clarify who supplies lumber, trusses, hardware, and equipment. Discuss delivery access, material staging, cleanup, and any window or door installation separately rather than assuming they are included. These responsibilities belong in the written proposal so each part of the work has a clear owner.

When should I raise details that involve other trades?

Bring known openings, planned utility routes, specialty roof layers, and connections to steel or log components into the initial discussion. Share the relevant drawings and identify decisions still awaiting the designer, supplier, or another trade. Our project gallery shows approved examples of ZIP System sheathing, hybrid log framing, and polyiso roof work; your own project scope should follow its specific plans and requirements.
